Childhood memories! reminds me of finding a Ninja Sword in my friends dad closet! was a brought back from the Korean war
believe it or not… My wife of almost 20 years, we sleep in different rooms most of the time. normal happy marriage!I don't believe in owning a gun that I wouldn't shoot. It's like marrying a hot wife but sleeping in separate beds to save her for the next guy. Life is short, enjoy what you have while you can.
Most of mine were inherited/gifted to me from or by my dad. I own very few guns that I actually bought with my own money.I don't have NEARLY enough money for safe queens...
Yes, it will! The simple act of cleaning up the cosmoline would lower its value tremendously. That grease is evidence that the gun is unfired. If I want to shoot a Nambu, there are plenty of less than pristine examples to choose from. The C-96 Mauser in the pic is also unfired and full of cosmoline. It was made in 1913. I have the matching shoulder stock.you can’t take it with you! just one pop’s not going to hurt it
those look good!Yes, it will! The simple act of cleaning up the cosmoline would lower its value tremendously. That grease is evidence that the gun is unfired. Not gonna ever fire that one either! I have a second, less than pristine Broomie that I shoot all the time.
Same! but I’m getting more available time, and will be shooting WAY moreIt's funny this should come up. I have more than one firearm that I have never fired, and at least one that is new and never fired (outside of whatever factory firing happened).
I didn't purchase any firearm with the intent to not shoot it, it just turned out that way.
So many guns, so little time.
I have a P08 Luger Artillery 9mm that I will be shooting in about a month when it comes in! excited about that one!I went out shooting with some friends today. I brought the P08 Luger which was appreciated. It is just a police model, nothing too special. That is about as close to a safe queen as I own. As much as I enjoy looking at and handling fine firearms, I like shooting them more.
Every gun I have is a "safe queen." I haven't been out shooting in years. Age will do that to you.I don't buy safe queens. I shoot every gun I own.
none of my business.. but You do have future plans for your collection?Every gun I have is a "safe queen." I haven't been out shooting in years. Age will do that to you.
Furthermore, if you shoot a gun, you have to clean it. That's a chore I would rather avoid. Plus, I also save the cost of ammunition.
The guns are there. I know how to use them if need be.
we expected a Range Report from you soon!At this point in time everything I own has been a safe queen for several months. This very afternoon I will go for an MRI that I hope will be the start of correcting that.
I do have three permanent safe queens, antiques that I purchased years ago just to look at.
You know, come to think of it, this is a lot like those "one long gun, one pistol, one knife" teotwawki type topics.
Basically, just dispose of all of your safe queens and there's your answer to that question as well.
that’s a Beautiful gun! I had a chance for a 3rd change and thought about it, it left the shop within hours of my thinking too much! With no access to a range, technically, all of my guns are "queens". The one that fits that description the most is a .32-20 revolver, a S&W "Model of 1905 - 4th change". I have shot it and still have about 40 rounds for it, but - .
NICE COMBO! Model 70 30-06 kills everything! 870 has a special place in my heart, Marlin 39a is EXPENSIVE, Who don’t love a Model 10!My dad R.I.P always said a man 4 guns.
Winchester Model 70 in 30.06
Remington 870 12 gauge
Marlin 39A
S&W Model 10
I have a bunch of S&W 2.5" and 3" K Frames I've never shot.
