Shooting Clays in Northern Virginia

It’s my father in law’s 70th birthday in July and we will be in Northern Virginia for it. He wants to shoot trap or sporting clays while he’s in VA (we all live in New Jersey now).

Are there any good places for trap/sporting clays in NOVA that supplies gun and shells? I lived close to the Homestead so that’s my normal go to although it’s too far to go for this trip.

We’re staying in Arlington and having dinner in Middleburg so need to be in that area.

Bull Run Shooting Center in Manassas is the only place I can think of that would be “close” to Alexandria. The guns aren’t the best and are beat up, as you can imagine. The Sporting course is self-led…you purchase a card for how many birds you think you’re going to shoot…been awhile but thinking it’s a 50 bird course…carts are allowed, but not sure they rent those. They have Trap, Skeet, Wobble Trap and Sporting, not a bad place but can get busy on weekends…have fun.
