Shooting glasses & prescription goggles?

Thanks for the reminder.

I've had my ESS with the insert for about 2 weeks now. Wear is fine, no issues. My only complaint is one of my making I think. I let Cinnamon put in polycarbonate lenses in the insert, I think I should have had her put in normal lenses. I do get a little bit of distortion, but have gotten used to it when I am looking out of the corner of my eyes. The section closest to the nose is a little to thick and that is what causes it.

Ask ?'s if you have any.

I wanted to follow-up and see if you ever got your ESS RX carrier ground down? If so, did that take care of the distortion issue that you were experiencing?

I have not yet had the lenses ground down. I've only been able to shoot twice with them and have the following observations.

The distortion is much reduced by keeping both the insert lenses and the polycarbonate lenses very clean. I think the overall thickness of the two together causes any kind of smudge to be an issue. I am also wearing them just a little lower down the nose, which is also helping.

I'll shoot a few more times with them before I decide on anything else.

Thanks for checking up, and I'm still quite happy with the ESS glasses.
