Wondering if anyone besides me has played around with getting slugs to shoot to the same point of aim in SXS doubles?
I've had excellent luck with a pair of 20Ga coach guns getting them to shoot both barrels into 4" at 60yds. Not so much luck with 12Ga but I still have some different loads to try.

Ive been trying with a pair of 20ga coach guns as well. One shoots slugs better than the other. Brenneke seems to be the preferred load. Haven't played around with too many loads. Maybe some Williams slugger sights might help.

Congratulations on your 4 inch group. Don't try to get to technical with smooth bore guns and slugs the will break your heart. The ballistic coefficient of a shotgun slug is not that great.

If you can put both slugs into a torso target at whatever engagement range I'd call that good enough.

50Cal. What brand of coach guns are you using? The ones I have are Baikal Bounty Hunter II. I made a low profile express sight for one to use with the bead front sight. The other I mounted a ramp front and adjustable rear. Both shoot the Remington 5/8Oz Foster style slugs the best.
As to the feasability of slugs. They are pretty darn good as long as you stay within their useable range. Past 60 to 70 yards they are running out of steam pretty quick. Within that range they will kill anything I want to kill. They did just fine on a couple of TN Hogs last month. Both one shot kills one at 40yds and one at 20yds and they didn't go anywhere.
