Shooting somebody else's ammo?

I have to admit I am surprised by the number of no way posts. I can understand the reasoning behind not shooting someone else’s, but I miss the point when you say you won’t let someone else shoot yours. To me that brings up questions such as why would you shoot them if they are questionable and would you let a loved one shoot factory loads? But thanks for the replies, I’m still learning.

I bought some commercial reloads (Minute Man) some time ago # 45 out of 50 kicke like a mule, jammed the cylinder and when I got the cylinder open thr primer fell out and I had to use a rod to get the empty case out. I only use reloads from a very good and careful friend.

I'm probably stupid but my shooting buddies tend to shoot my reloads . .typically in my guns. I don't ever get near max so the problem would occur if I screwed up and double charged. I'm hoping that will never happen but I guess I'll have to deal with it if it happens. I'm hoping if it ever happens it happens with me holding the gun. (which is pretty likely as I shoot probably 98.5% of my reloads)

Griz....I guess if I'm not going to allow myself to shoot someone else's reloads. I shouldn't let them shoot mine for the same reason that I shouldn't shoot theirs... ?? That make sense??:)

I would shoot a trusted friend's reloaded ammo, but would be very cautious about ammo from anyone else.

I think the point is that I know MY reloads work fine in MY guns. They have been tested there.
But they have NOT been tested in guns other than my own, and as each gun is a case unto itself, caution is advised.
