Whe using shooting sticks or other type of support, what is the most accepted technique - Resting the forend directly on sticks/support or stabilizing the off-hand with stick/support and controling the foreed with the off hand? Does it depend on situation?
I am thinking that if I a solidly supported off hand and kept the for end in contact with my fingers, I could get better minute control of the barrell.
What are the pros and cons of each? It seems most sticks are designed to have the forend rested directly on them while the off hand iss supporting the stick.
Thanks,
CB.
