Shot the S&W CS9 for the first time. 100 rounds of cheap Winchester range ammo. from Wal-Mart without a problem. All at 7 yds. and point and shoot. All torso hits and head shots. Very smooth trigger and great sights. Very light recoil enabling me to shoot faster than ever. This pistol is a pleasure to shoot.

Great gun...

I've got your big brother, the CS45 and it appears to be identical except for size. I really love it. Can't figure why there isn't much talk about either one. They're worth talking about !

Used to have a CS9

It was a great gun. Sold it only to fund the purchase of another gun. Sort of miss the little guy.

I shot one at the range, and I'm wondering that myself.
I think the problem is that when you mention s&w autos on this particular forum, you have two types of respondants.
Those who love them, and those who hate them.
Both are almost rabid in their beliefs.
Some people really like them.
I am not one of those people.
But, the CS series is worth talking about.
Small, accurate, reliable, and easy to shoot.
I'm now gonna get flamed by not one, but two groups of people.
Smith auto lovers, for dissing their beloved guns.
And smith haters, for mentioning that CS series guns are worth a look.
That's ok, it's just how I see it. :neener:

I have about 700rds through a CS9 with out a problem . Good accuracy, good reliability , that is what I like in a gun and for me the CS9 fits the bill.
