Alrighty fellers its been a while since i last visited here but i have a little treat for you guys to watch.I have finish building my .338 Federal AR10 Pattern SBR rifle and i have chronographed it with some pretty interesting results.. Shooting a few of the Federal Factory 180gr Accubond Nosler Ballistic tips i was clocking in around 2206fps-2242fps and shooting some of the American Eagle 185gr soft point factory ammo i was getting around 2097fps-2198fps...I still have some more testing to do with some lighter loads such as the Barnes 160gr ballistic tips....I have uploaded a video for you guys on all documented chronographed results of my 8" .338 Federal SBR ..Please leave comments and i Hope you enjoy.

Hello and thanx for commenting..The .358win was one of my top choices when i decided to make this build..my only issue that i was gonna be a problem for me was the loss in velocity from my 8" barrel and the fact that factory ammo cost upwards of $35-$60 per box of 20 vs .338 federal at $15.90-$50 per box of 20..Also the .338 bullet shoots much flatter than a .358..I still would think that the 358win would make a very good bush gun but more useful with a longer barrel..If you were to make an sbr version..i wouldnt go lower than 12"

I suppose ammo is factor.

I'd have though with a regular 20" barrel (Or even 18" or 16") the wide bore of the 358W would get most out of the 308 case.

I suppose if you aren't careful though the 358 will go through the sound barrier pretty quicky.

AR10, 16" bbl, Aimpoint on the top.... "here piggy piggy piggy!"""
