Shortcut for cleaning cylinders?

You've fired over 3000 rounds of .357 in 2 years? Hope you reload or are wealthy.
Look, enjoy your gun. I could care less how you maintain it. The OP asked for shortcuts to cleaning. I don't believe he meant never cleaning is a shortcut to cleaning. I'll continue to do what I do. If I felt like taking a pic of my 32 year old Ruger Six, it would look like a new gun. And it's sure had more than 3000 rounds through it.

I have fired 3k .357 in the past 2 months.. easily...I shoot up to 5 days a week.....I just loaded these for a Rossi rifle....I reload and can afford to shoot all I want...and do.;)

Any one of my dirty old six guns can be cleaned up to look like new. They are well preserved under all that carbon.

3000rds in two years ain't a lot. Back before the shortage, I was shooting 2000-3000rds of .22LR a month. As for centerfire, I'm contemplating ordering my third Dillon. Like we've been trying to tell you, when you shoot a lot, you look at it differently.

How about a 53yr old Single Six that's had 30,000rds put through it in the 16yrs I've owned it and has never seen a cleaning rod?

X2 on shooting 2-3k rounds a month of .22 before the panic. The panic is why I am shooting so much centerfire now....That Single doesn't look 5 years old much less 50.

I've been doing a lot more centerfire shooting since the shortage, too.

It's in good shape, despite a not so pleasant life. Aside from a bit of holster wear on the barrel, the only noticeable areas are on the grip frame, which is an XR3 retrofit from a flat-top Blackhawk.
