The Black Ice model. Not really much on auto loaders(although that's what I carry for SD), I found it actually a decent little gun. It felt pretty good in my hand for how small it is, and it was a fairly decent shooter. My buddy had standard and +P ammo for it, and it did rather well with both.
The $900 price tag I think is a bit heavy, but it seemed pretty well made from my inspection. I've been thinking about getting a new carry lately, and I'm glad I got an opportunity to try this one out. It looks like it would be an easier conceal than my M&P Compact 40.
I'm strongly going to consider getting one

I have the STG model which I think stands for Soft Touch Grips.
It's a nice gun, and I paid about half that.
Some Micro 9s are more expensive, and as far as I know, it depends on the finish, grips, etc. Mostly cosmetic.
I could be wrong.
You could do a lot worse for a carry gun.

I've owned a couple. Didn't enjoy shooting them. Did enjoy my fullsize Kimber Rapide Dawn 1911, though

The Micro 9 is a nice pistol but I prefer the Micro (380 ACP) and Colt Mustang. I have all three.

The latter are a bit smaller than the Micro 9 and a bit easier to pocket carry.

I’ll agree, different strokes for different folks.

I don't have an opinion on the Sig 938 but....

I got an early production model of the Sig 238 (380 ACP). Sig had problems with the main recoil spring which ultimately was fixed with a flat wire recoil spring.

But, for me, the damage was done. With the flat wire recoil spring, my Sig 238 has functioned flawlessly but my Mustangs and Kimber Micros have been flawless out of the box. My Sig 238 is a safe queen at present.

My Kimber Micro 9 has functioned flawlessly but it is a but larger than the 380 cousins. My daughter has a Micro 9 as well that has been flawless as well.

My Micro 9 is a stainless one like @Nasty Canasta has, it was a SHOT show special from a few years back that ran me $425 if I remember right. It shoots well for such a small auto and, so far, has been perfectly reliable. :)

I may go with the M*CARBO kit for it, the trigger pull is a touch heavy out of the box.

One thing that is a bit odd about the Micro 9 is the baseplate on the magazines seems reversed, as the “long side” faces the rear rather than towards the front. If you are used to a “index finger up” on the rear of the magazine during a reload this may throw you off until you are used to it.

My only issue with the feel of the Micro 9 involves the safety lever rubbing on my right thumb joint and causing a blister to form after about 30 rounds or so. :(

If you buy the Micro 9 I think you will enjoy it. They are well designed little guns. :)

Stay safe.

Thanks for that information. I myself wasn't keen on the safety position, my buddy that owns it would engage it here and there while he was going thru a mag, so it's going to take some practice for him.
I certainly am going to consider one now that I've browsed a few on the broker in the $700 range. When it comes to guns, I don't need nothing fancy( ok, I had to have a Freedom Premier 83, so just 1)as much as functional. The trigger on his wasn't too bad, and I really dug the fiber optic sights.
Thanks everyone for the input. He's gonna be coming out to practice with it some more soon, so I'll get a little bit more trigger time with it before I'm ready to make a purchase. I just may bite

I looked at both the Kimber Micro 9 and Sig 938 years ago and ended up getting the Sig. For me the deciding factor was wanting factory night sights. The Sig came with them. I shot both and didn't notice any differences between the two, both are good pistols based off an older and proven design (Star Model D)

I have one and it has been my carry gun for 5 years now. It is a bit snappy due to it's small size but that is what I like about it for a carry gun. I carry a spare mag in my pants pocket. I also looked at the Sig but the store owner said he was having warranty problems with them and wouldn't recommend it for that reason. He had no problems with Kimber and their services.

I was told just the opposite by several gun shops when I bought my Sig P938. So who do you believe?

Now talking to actual owners of both pistols and they haven't had issues with either.

I did have warranty issues with my P938 but Sigs CS was great! I would buy it all over again.

I bought a micro 9 a few years ago online for $460 plus all the fees. I really liked it at first then I got Ruger EC9s. Liked the Ruger so much I bought an identical one. Then sold the Kimber.
