While wringing out my new smoke pole I got to shoot another regular's pair of .41mags this afternoon. He's always got something interesting with him.

#1: Ruger Blackhawk, 6.5" (guessing), hogue rubbers, magnaport tuned action and porting.

#2: Smith model 57 (is that right?) 6" P&R.

I only ran a cylinder of medium loads thru each, and my big old muzzleloader targets were at 50yds, but I managed to land 4/6 and 5/6 on target offhand with each respectively, surprising myself.

Cool round, cool guns, and they shot very nicely for me. Hmmm.... :)

I handload 90% of my handgun ammo, when there are primers, so the .41 has always intrigued me. Finally got lucky.

Oh, no no, I only got to shoot them!
If only... Iif I were buying 'd take the blackhawk.

S&W has reintroduced the M57 and M58 in their Classic line. Not as sexy as the originals but there OK. Taurus and Ruger still chamber the .41 Mag. It's a great round and everyone should some sort of revolver chambered for it!

Try a 41 mag revolver, you just might like em like many of us. The Ruger Blackhawk is your least expensive choice. Good shooter however. Got one.

I have somehow ended up with 3 .41mag revolvers! 2 in the last year and a half. I still sort of want a mod 57 though.
