I was pretty impressed. I can't really see myself owning one 'cause polymer just doesn't "do it" for me. I was at the range to test fire my new (to me) 342 when I asked the owner about the XD on his hip. He just handed it to me and said "it's loaded". I went out to the range with the 10 rounds he had in it and put all of them into about a 4" group at 7 yards in about 20 seconds. Not lightning but not bad for the first time ever laying hands on one of these. Much tamer than I expected from a polymer pistol. Easily controllable, felt good in the hand, nice clear sites (simple/basic but did the job) nice feel to it overall. I can't really come up with any negatives about it and I'm told they are selling them as soon as they come in.

Learn more about polymer pistols; try some others; you'll find that they, in fact, generally handle recoil better than their steel-framed counterparts.

I've had mine for a month and really like. Shoots very well, not as good as my 1911's, but no other gun is that good :neener: I like as well as my M&P. Both are outstanding pistols for the $.

I used to prefer metal pistols - Kinda got over that w/ my Glock 34 and SW99. Now, all I own are plastic pistols, and my next gun will probably be a compact USP.

I've had Berettas and 1911s before. For now, the only pistols that interest me are polymer guns.
