Sabre's here showing their products.

New for this year is a semi-automatic .50 BMG, the Leader LSR 50. I find it oddly reminiscent of an over-sized Bushmaster M17 bullpup. The LSR 50 is 17 pounds and 39" OAL with a 24" barrel. I found the trigger hard, but since this is a pre-production model, that will hopefully be resolved. MSRP is currently set at a very reasonable $6800.

Options on the competition rifles include offset sights for close-in shooting even with a mounted higher power optic.

More stuff:

They are selling bags that look really good, designed by Rick Rardon who has some experience using three day packs. The color you see is a SHOT only scheme, but I believe they said they'll be available in black and OD. Price is $100 or so, and it's made to hold a laptop comfortably and safely in addition to normal stuff.

John and I both ended up buying some and find them extremely comfortable. For what it's worth.

You have a good eye, sir! You've recognized the characteristic style of the designer of both the original "M17S" (Art30 in Australia 1986) & the new Leader LSR 50 (plus the Australian Leader T2 5.56 in 1980): Charles St. George.

It is a pretty new 'baby' .50 isn't it?

Thanks for the welcome, John :)

Zanad:
oddly enough, I found one of their rifles at the pawn shop for about $950...

did I mention it was a NICE rifle?

Are you referring to the original Leader 5.56 from the '80s or Bushmaster's M17S? They were both very popular; the Leader 5.56 is getting harder to find now under $2,000.
