shot show 2015 is over, anything you saw you had to have?

I'm thinkin' the .22 caliber Kingston Armory MI Garand will make my short list of guns that warrant further research and consideration.

I keep reading about the “new Magpul Glock magazines”.
I can't help wondering, what is so bad about the Glock ones?

Just asking.

They don't cost $13-$14 which is probably what the Magpul magazines will end up being available for once the initial dust settles (MSRP is $15.95). That is the main attraction. We'll probably be looking at 7 of the Magpul mags for the same price as, if not slightly less than, 5 of the Glock magazines.

Unless this pushes the price of Glock magazines down, which of course would also be fantastic.

A friend/co-worker just got back from SHOT.
I asked him if he saw anything he couldn't live without.
His response: Nope.
I have known him for a good while, and trust his judgement.

Lets see...

I'll be getting the Magpul AK furniture as well as their new reinforced AK mags, a Glock mag or two, and a few sand PMAGs. I'm also really interested in Colt's bare bones models, a Glock 34 MOS, and the new Savage Scout, if they make a .223 version... And if Kalashnikov USA, PSA, DDI, Century, or Radom can turn out quality US-made AK's, I'll be on-board with those too.

Not surprised that there was little innovation to speak of: everyone in the industry has been selling product as fast as they can make it ever since Obama tried to capitalize on the Newtown massacre.

Once the market quiets down again then you'll see some intriguing ideas come to light in an effort to get the public to part with their money...

I forgot about that one. yes, that looks neat. I mean I have a 10/22 and a garand, but not a 10/22 that looks like a garand!

Personally, the only thing I found interesting was the Integrally suppressed 10/22 Take Down barrel by Gemtech

I wasn't at shot show, but the Beretta Centennial really interests me. I sure don't have the money for one though.

I'm surprised S&W did not have a 3"-3.5" model 69 at Shot.

Even if the Magpul Glock magazines end up lower in cost, aren't Glock magazines almost universally accepted as the gold standard of OEM reliable magazines, relative to others which replace mags with aftermarkets as soon as possible? I personally wouldn't run my Glock with anything other than my 100% reliable factory mags.

Magpul's Glock mags will be made here and, and I'm willing to bet they'll be more readily available as well. Long as they're as reliable as OEM, they oughta be a slightly cheaper, more available mag. Good for stocking up, at least.

I'm so excited about his. Good for Magpul, love those guys (and gals).

Does MagPul make a 30 shot magazine to serve the 9mm carbines using Glock mags?
They should.

Seems MagPul has added a number of products since bailing out of the repressive atmosphere of Colorado. Good on them.

Im curious to see the price point on a standard Glock 40, I have no use for the bells and whistles of the 'MOS' setup. I'll also invest in a couple of the magpul glock 9mm mags to see what all the fuss is about.

There won't be a non-MOS version of the G40. At least not for the foreseeable future.

The MOS doesn't really have any "bells and whistles", it's just milled for the optics mount... you can still use it just fine with standard sights.

Thanks! It's weird that it is heavier, do you know what style of mag it takes?

I don't know. Savage's website tends to be light on specifications for their rifles. We may have to wait until these rifles are in the field. My guess is it will be the same magazine and bottom metal as the Model 10FCP-SR., which is the increasingly common AICS magazine, same as the Ruger GSR.
