Shot Show?

Every time I'm browsing threads, I see the Shot Show forum, and have always figured, I must not be interested, because I have absolutely no idea what this is all about. However, my curiosity has gotten the better of me, since seeing that the entire subforum is closed.

So what is it? What's it all about? The subforum seems popular.

SHOT show is a firearms industry trade show.

basically it is where firearms manufacturers display their biggest and best advancements for the year. think E3 (comicon/video games or The Detroit car show where all the concept cars are displayed.) Basically Firearms Manufacturers set up booths with their products and media and people who can get in look around and get to handle the stuff ask questions to the experts that are there showing them off etc.

Yep, as mentioned, a trade show. Only thing I have to add is that unless you are a person within the firearms industry, you aren't allowed to attend.

Granted, it doesn't take much to actually BE in the industry (work at a gun store, or have a small side business selling parts, and you're in), but unless you have some type of affiliation you can't get a pass.

So the thread is just people who were able to attend sharing the info with the rest of us then?

Folks were trying to let everyone know what the new and exciting things that were slated to be coming out in the upcoming year. SHOT happens early in the calender year.

I work for the company that does the website for their exhibitor directory, I have tried to get them to send me to the show but they don't wanna pay for the plane tickets! It's in Vegas

I went last Year.

It was great, all the Big outfitts where there I may go back this year for a day or two.
