Should I get Sig or a local Gunsmith to refinish?

Well, I just got my brand new Sig P229 today in two-tone. I really wanted the Black Nitron, but this is the last one that the distributor had. I don't think that I will ever like this stainless slide though. I was wondering if the good people at Sig Arms would be able to finish the slide with the Black Nitron finish. I was thinking of taking it to Clark's here in Bossier City to get it done. I would hate to send it off to Sig and have to wait for months to get it back. Has anyone here ever had Sig to finish or refinish a slide?

Also the top of the chamber isn't black either, but the right side is. I have never owned a Sig and was wondering if the all black ones were black on top of the chamber as well.

You should of been more patient..:)
It reminds me of my son who thinks every car he has an interest in & wants it right now; is the only one on the planet..:(

I like the two toned SIGs. Much more unique compared to the more common one tones.... Plus, I bet the two tones wear better, as the blued SIGs seem to have a somewhat delicate finish....

I would keep the 2-tone. They are harder to find and will wear better as Lightsped has said. I am sure someone here would give you a fair price for it and you could get a good deal on a new Nitron finished gun.
