Should Illinois pass a law to allow for the conceal and carry of firearms

Moved to Activism as this actually appears to be a public official looking for input. Un-freakin'-believable.
 
I voted as well considering I'm living in this state. There have been many times where I would have felt a lot more comfortable with a firearm on me when around the big city area.
 
No, they should write it into their constitution that an individual has an unequivocal right to keep and bear arms at all times and in all places not expressly prohibited by federal statute and that this right shall not be infringed upon by any state regulation or prohibition.

You mean something like this?:

Subject only to the police power, the right of the individual citizen to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

-Illinois Constitution, Section 22

Apparently the "police power" is pretty much unlimited.
 
I voted twice within just a couple of minutes. Did it allow you to do the same? If not, I'm afraid they don't accept swedish votes.

I don't think it allows for multiple votes. It has raised a whole .22% since I voted...I wonder how many people have actually voted already?
 
Read, Voted, posted to my FB page. I wish they had a comment line and I would tell them about my father in Illinois who was robbed walking out of his store as soon as he got to the street.
 
I bet if they allow it they include a clause like Federal FFL dealers have, where your home and firearms can be checked at any time, for any reason. Basically lose your protections from warrantless search.
 
I guess she did NOT listen when she was sworn in to her legislative job. Had she listened she would not be seeing what we think-what the sheep think dont matter. What the constitution says does matter.

If they ever sincerely try to fix that state I would love to move back. Until they do, I'll stay in Texas.

I'll trade ya :) I can't wait to get out of here and move to Texas! Why would you ever want to come back here? Not only are our gun laws terrible, but our state is in huge amounts of debt with a terribly corrupt government.
