DougW: Interesting charging handle/bolt handle. Is the AR charging handle there to take up room?

Both the rear and side charging handles are functional on my 6.5 Grendel!

A little OT..

The reason for the extra charging handle on target AR's, is a lot of the target stocks have high combs, and you can't use the normal handle. But since it is the bolt carrier, you pretty much have to leave it in..

i remember quite a while back i saw a very "Tactical" WASR-10 (or SAR1) with bipod and collapseable stock.... i dont remember who or when, but that was one beutiful AK :D

Reginhild nice blade :) Nice pictures all around from everyone. I need a rifle or 2 wow! Anyone with so many that they cant fit them in the pictures should send me the over spill. I promise Ill show pictures of them once they get here and how much fun we are having together.

My 44Mags, the Vaquero was my first single action, it did yoeman service for a year or two firing all sorts of loads before the blackhawk came along:

A sweet old colt in 38Smith and Wesson. This was used by BHP, a big mining company on the gold escorts and then was disposed of and used as by the Commonwealth bank, then sold to a security company and carried on an armoured car for ten years. It is retired now to a diet of cast boolit loads.

A 7.62 conversion done by the Lithgow Small Arms Factory, fired 200 rounds recently after being taken from the greased paper. (the shots taken with the counter is at the local gun shop where I picked these up)
