Stock comparisons.

Alright, now the SAR1 stock measured roughly, and I mean roughly(very quick measurement), 9 1/2 inches. The RPK stock was about 9 inches measured in the same spot. I took the measurement from the side along the comb (correct? top part of the stock).

Thanks but I have the one that came with mine, looking for something lower.

10-4 on the cat, and just for the record the AK was there first, and she plopped down and started a stare down with it .

Here are my 4. I've got several more receivers and one more kit so I've always got my eyes open for more kits coming on the market.

I don't own an AK, :( But I do own a Yugo SKS. :) The pic is from last winter. (In case the snow didn't give it away) That is me in the picture, back when I had short hair, holding it. My friends and I where using some old computer monitors as targets. Just adding a little variety to the mix. I have since added a 4x scope to it.

Here is another one:

It is a Polish kit built by the Firing Line on one of their threaded, milled receivers.

Me and a Sako Rt-95. Nearly as accurate as an M16, and a heck of a lot more robust. My favorite varient of the AK platform. Leave it to the Finns to actually improve the AK.

AKM- Who did the shorty conversion on that Saiga? I've been wanting to pick one of those up. Thanks!

after my stock change (RPK stock) I've decided the RPK stock is more useful even though it's shorter. The wood cuts away deeper allowing sights to easily line up with eyes. The shape seems to cradle perfectly when firing shouldered.

I ain't changing back either ;)
