Show me your single long gun rack

thanks, it's just for one gun when I choose one for sunday at the show at my house.
it is designed to accept the size from usm1 to my lebel.

Hi,
It seems that my request has not been successful...it was also to get ideas for my future productions.

I don’t have a lot of 1 gun racks, most have been vehicle mounts, for a single firearm.

It would be a stretch to call them a gun “rack” but I do often use these because they are cheap and easy way to keep a firearm from falling over.

I put them wherever I might want a good place to put a firearm but don’t want to fiddle with a rack. If you look close these rifles are inside them, not simply balanced against the posts.

Your vehicle mount is original and practical! thank you for posting

No real photo to post from me.
Corner of the room similar to
everybody else's house
What is it the doctor puts down
on the write up from your checkup?
Unremarkable
Unremarkable room corner here

( the racks are nice though)

Nice MAS! The stand is looking great with the finish on it too. :)
Can you still get 7.5mm easily there? It is largely unobtainium here now.

You won't see many single gun racks or stands in the US for several reasons. Many municipalities require guns be secured under lock and key, most gunowners own multiple guns, and you have to keep kids and dogs from playing with or having unsupervised access to them.

Then there is the risk of theft. Years ago it was common for US households to have a lightly built, but aesthetically pleasing wood gun cabinet with glass panels and a simple lock in the living room or other "public" area. These would usually hold 3-9 guns and provide only enough security to keep curious hands off the goods without permission.

Now, with our morally corrupt, partisan, and increasingly dystopian society the traditional gun cabinet is largely a thing of the past. High-security steel safes and "safe rooms" are more the norm and you don't mention to anyone you don't trust that you even own guns- both for fear of break-ins and political/social reprisals from neighbors or at work or school.

The most common replies I've gotten
are-

"Well you have insurance don't you?"
"Well you have cameras don't you?"
"Well you have an alarm system don't you?"
"You should know that you can't have
XXXX in this area, and not expect
it/them to get stolen. ."

And the all time classic for my region-
"Well it's probably in mexico by now. ."

My weapons are still stored in my vault, my country is not very safe at the moment.
I expose one for my pleasure on the rack of my creation only when I am there in my house, and then I put everything away in safety.
The danger to come does not come from the possible thieves, but from europe and the government in place.

Hi
To relax yesterday, I made this rack...
after that, I thought I would like to see yours!

Howdy! :)

Your single long gun rack is the only one that I have ever seen. Nice.

The closest I have come to creating something like that ...

Several years ago I got tired of the hassle of temporarily relocating my longguns (especially) when I had to empty one of my gunsafes for some reason. So ... I decided to quickly craft a mobile/portable gun rack. I thought about that for afamo and realized that while setup to make the one, I should make TWO since the first would probably end-up both full and (somewhat) static.

Enjoy!

I have made some like GBE did but I added a little more offset to the two sides so there is a bit more space between them.

Closest thing to a single long gun rack I have is the crack between the passenger seat and center console in my pickup where my rifle rides most of the time. I am looking for ideas for a single rifle rack for a dirt bike though.

. . . The danger to come does not come from the possible thieves . .
Not to dispute
Sometimes someone that you can
implicitly trust might be viewing your
valuables, and the details may innocently
get to the wrong ear.
I've had it happen
Cousin Jim and his kids might drop
by for a hamburger on the grill, and
a game watching session. The kids
back at school or at their friend
Billy Jr.'s house tell about the neat
gun that daddy's cousin has.
Word gets in the wrong ear and before
you know it you come home and find
the back door kicked in.
Happened to a relative of mine in a
slightly different fashion. Small
wedding celebration at the in law's
house, and one of the guests spied
the big safe that hold the man's
valuables and the cash from the
contracting business he owns.
Wakes up a few nights later with a
gun barrel in his nostril.
They were ok, but were cleaned out
and lost peace of mind forever

It does happen

I still do the display case "thing", but mostly to keep the dust off. All of my stuff resides in a safe room with a vault door:

The real expensive stuff resides in a safe, within the vault. A couple yrears ago I added one of these, with the intent of using it outdoors during practice sessions, but now it's also been filled up and stays in the vault:

Sir,
Of course there is the risk of theft which is very present, especially at the moment.
But I maintain that here the biggest danger comes from Europe and its leaders who did not hesitate to dispossess legal owner-shooters.
The next step is the outright banning of lead for ammunition, imagine the consequences...

I like it! I have a deck rebuild that takes first priority of my time right now, but i need to make something like this. I am always balancing a rifle or shotgun while looking for something else. I owe a pic when one gets built.
