$225. on EBay I take them off when I shoot the gun though. You get a letter of certification that they are over 10,000 years old etc.

SharpsDressedMan, Nice.

And an arched Mainspring housing; I want to order a stainless one for my Combat Elite (above)

Is that a 1911A1 like the WW2 models?

It's really a 1952 .38 Super, and I swapped in a pre-WWII mainspring housing, safety, hammer and trigger from a 1927 Colt Argentine that a friend gave me years ago. He built a race gun from the Argentine, and I got all the great pre-war parts! The grips I got off Ebay. I believe they are Kingwood. I knew I could never afford or would shoot a REAL pre-war Super, but this is pretty close. It has a Bar-Sto barrel, looks basically stock, but shoots like a match gun.

I love the old 1911 style looks. Great gun you got there.
38 super is a great round also; that's on my list of 1911s that I will have one day, along with a 10mm.

I want one of those colt "Black Army" reproductions myself (same style)

I've got custom grips on my taurus 92' and Put some on my roomates Ruger MKII I'll post pics if anyone is interested...
