If they cannot or will not fix what you see as a fault, why worry about maintaining a warranty that has not done any good?
As you say, get the gun independently evaluated. Have it fixed if your armorer considers that what you see affects function or durability. If he says it does not, then you have the choice of putting up with cosmetic flaws or replacing the gun with something that does not offend your sensibilities. You have sunk way more money and anxiety into the project than I think reasonable and it is time to wrap it up.
