Yesterday I went to a local gun store. As many of you may know just going to look sometimes turns into walking out the door with another gun and a dent in your wallet.

Anyway I bought a stainless steel Sig 1911, with nice wood grips. It was used but came in a case with two magazines, and the orginal manual. She also gave me a box of of FMJ and JHP, And a IWB Holster. For $859.00

I don't have an pics to post, but it looks brand new and was obvoisly very well taken care of.

Anyway just wanted to hear some opions of If I got a good gun or a good price.

I'll take it out this afternoon for some range time (-:

well first and foremost congrats on the new gun and a 1911 at that and better yet a sig! sounds like a great combo to me. i have red a few articles about them, but i haven't heard many if any IIRC from people that actually own them. so it will be good to hear all about the new pistol.

definetly a good gun and i hope you enjoy it!

Judging by the price I've seen them for new (I've yet to see any used ones), that's probably a fair price - especially if it's a good IWB holster like a Galco or something. I've been pretty impressed with the guns when handling them, and being a Sig it's got a good reputation behind it. I'd say you got a good one.

Congrats!
