Hi Folks,

I'm interested in a Sig 232, but haven't had a chance to test one yet. However, I've handled a Sig 225 before and I was really impressed by the smooth and consistent DA/SA trigger pull. I think it was the best traditional double action trigger that I've ever handled. The DA pull was firm, smooth, but not too heavy, and the transition from DA to SA was really consistent and smooth. Normally, I prefer single action pistols and DAO revolvers because of their consistent trigger pull. However, the Sig's trigger that I tried was exceptional.

I have a couple of other DA/SA semi-auto pistols (a Beretta and a Walther) and although I like the guns a lot, the trigger on the Sig 225 that I handled was super nice -- much, much better than the Beretta and Walther.

How do the Sig 232 triggers compare with other Sigs' triggers (like the 225, 226, etc.)? Are they equally consistent and smooth?

Thanks,

IrvJr

My 230 has the best trigger of any of my SiGs, better than the 225, the 226 or either of the SiG Pros. In addition, it LOVES hot ammo and is scary accurate. If you can point your finger at something you'll hit it with the 230/232.

Irv, many folks will tell you that the P225 has the worst trigger pull of any SiG, and it is - unless, of course, it was the one I used to own... :D

The P232 trigger can be made to be very good - but it's a .380 with more felt recoil than most 9mm's, so why bother? I have one - in my safe. One of these days I'm gonna sell it.

You want a great shooting SiG with an equally great out-of-the-box SA/DA pull - try a P239. Don't forget to put a set of Hogue finger groove grips on it though...

I can't answer. I have a p232 with about 500 rounds through it. I don't mind the double action first pull but I'm having trouble getting used to the DA/SA transition. I guess I've been shooting 1911 too long. Maybe I'm just not a Sig guy?
