I picked up a P320 SubCompact 9mm the other day and was looking for full size 17 rounders...no luck at any local sellers.

How long does it usually take before a new model's mags generally become available at local retail?

I've looked for P320 mags, there are none, and while the P250 mags second gens will work, and fit, there are none of those, locally, either.

I strongly prefer to pay cash locally.

Hey, FYI, if you register your pistol with SIG, they give you a 20% off code at the SIG Store. Now... I know when you do that it says it doesn't work on holsters and magazines, but when you call in and ask, they say it does work and is fine.

Now get this: if the SIG Store online says something is OOS, it might be a lie. If you call in they have a different stock ordering system and typically have items in stock, like magazines.

Just be polite and as and they'll hook ya up.

The [length of time] for a local retail store to get in magazines is inversely proportional to how much the store [likes you as a customer] multiplied by the store's [quality of service], the manufacturer's [reputation], the state of purchase's [laws], whether the required magazine is [foreign or domestically] made, and whether the federal government has decided [you don't need another magazine].

I applaud your support of local firearms dealers, but the simple answer to your question is, "nobody knows."

There has to be some good demand before the Mag. Mfg.s ramp up their production. Good thing the new HK VP9 had going for people it uses the same Mag.s as the already HK P30 that has been out in the stores a while.
I am sure at some time Checkmate the made in USA Mag. company will start making them.
