Wouldn't that dictate having your gun more or less match your clothes?There have been times - usually during holdups, that CCP holders have had the opportunity to draw discreetly and defend themselves.
I think it is during those situations that it is better not to have something either bright or shiny that might draw the attention of an otherwise distracted robber / assailant.
A black pistol stands out against a pair of robin's egg Capri's. A stainless pistol stands out against black slacks.
Female clothing styles in the developed/W.E.I.R.D. world tend towards bright colors and close fit. To avoid drawing attention, the guns women carry should be brightly colored and slim.
