After a two month wait, my new Sig Mosquito arrived. Quite disappointingly, the new pistol had the same problem as the previous, with the trigger. Curious if anyone else cares to check this. If you remove the slide and pull the trigger, there is a gritty feel in the travel taking up the slack. However, if you depress the stainless actuator bar that rides along side the magazine just a couple thousandths of an inch, there is no friction or gritty feel. I have now checked this on four new guns, they are all the same. This leads me to believe there is something wrong with the manufacturing process, and something is binding on the trigger mechanisms, which should be curable. I do not have the means to take the gun apart any further, and am waiting to hear from Sig. The last message they offered was to saturate the area with penetrating oil (I used both Boeshield and GIBBS), blowing out any excess with high pressure air, which made no difference. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, I would like to know about it. Our local and very excellent gunsmith refuses to do any trigger work on a Sig, or I would have him correct the problem. Otherwise, I really like this pistol!
