I like shooting both pistols about equally so no "whichever you shoot more" responses. Does one conversion work better than the other - more reliable, sturdy, or accurate? They are both about $300 unless someone has a lead on a better price. Reliability with bulk .22 ammo is the most important feature for me.

huh... I could have sworn I paid closer to $200... that was a long time ago. Oh, I got the CZ by the way. Obviously built for the full size frame, mine fits perfectly on my PCR compact frame. I actually don't even have a full size CZ. Mine hasn't ever jammed, granted I havent ever torture tested it. I love mine though. Only time I shot a mosquito was at a range and it was a rental. eehhhh jammed a lot and wasn't such a fan. maybe you're talking about something thats not a mosquito?

I would definantly go with the CZ Kadet. Mine's been 100% with just about every type of ammo (one or two FTE when firing bulk federal and remington) and it was pretty cheap ($270)

Does sig have a .22 conversion? I havn't heard good things about the mosquito.

my buddy just sent his sig mosquito back to the factory, after approx 350-400 rds the barrel was leaded so bad it was crazy!!

Most likely that was due to crappy ammo. Remington thunderbolts do that to all of my 22 pistols.

Kadets are top notch. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another. The only conversion top end I can think of that's better than the Kadet, is a Marvel.

I love my Kadet kit, it goes on every range trip. And I do have other .22 pistols to choose from. It runs on all three of my CZs. I have it set up with the same sights I run on my CZ75b competition gun. The Kadet kits runs and runs and is very accurate.

I have a Kadet top end and like it. I've handled a SIG conversion and it appears well made.

The Kadet top end is all steel; whereas the SIG has an alloy slide.

My Kadet conversion is accurate. It feeds and ejects very well. However, with Federal bulk pack, it has been prone to misfires. The strike seems heavy enough but the firing pin face is very narrow. Just today, I reshaped the firing pin (it's chisel shaped on end) to widen the the strike area. I ran a couple of magazines through it with no problems. Hopefully, that will bear out after a more extensive session.

Greg

Kadet vs Mosquito

I have both guns. While the are both fun to shoot, if I had to pick one there is no question - go with the CZ. You have both 9mm and 22 and the pistol shoots equally well with either slide assembly mounted. In terms of accuracy, the edge goes to the cz. Both feel very good in my hand, but he cz feels like (and is) a full size gun. The mosquito is nice to hold but feels like a training gun. Mosquitos can be a bit more finicky on ammo, but the cz eats about anything.

Just ordered a Kadet w/2mags from J&G for $307 shipped. They are special order so I am assuming it will take over a month. The Buckmark will have to suffice till then.
