What's the purpose of the pistol? Home defense, carry, range?

Can't go wrong with the P320 Carry. Great size, easy to pack. Typical excellent SIG ergonomics. Better sights (the X-Ray night sights are superb). Probably more accurate, fer sure, and would expect a superior trigger.

I picked up a SIG P320 XCarry a couple of months back. Got a good deal on it in a trade and couldn't turn it down.
So far, Im not real impressed with it. And that's coming from someone who has been a big SIG fan for quite a few years. At least the older P series anyway.
I would have thought by now, that since SIG was making the 320's so "modular", they would have addressed the high bore axis they still have. Compared to my Glocks, two things stand right out, the 320 is noticeably snappier and muzzle flip is a lot more noticeable. The flat trigger has some "slap" to it as well.
I don't have any experience with the Daggers, but it seems a lot of people like them, and everything Ive hear on them has been positive. They are more "Glock like", so unless the Glocks you have are growing on you, the PSA may be just another.

While I am not discounting your opinion, I submit that a large factor is what one is used to shooting. Having been shooting SIG P-series pistols for about 30 years, I think the whole "high bore axis" thing is overblown, much ado about nothing. As far as muzzle flip? I just shot my M18 (not pictured) side by side with the 19X (pictured) a couple weeks ago with a buddy who's been looking to buy a new pistol. He told me he liked how the 320 felt better, and that he thought perceived recoil was less. Yes, the trigger is different (and the hold for sight picture, obviously different), but unless one is strictly a Glock shooter, doubtful one would have issue with the 320 trigger, which actually, of all the striker pistols, is at or near the top (bonus points for no trigger dingus).
But, many have widely varying experiences even when shooting the same pistol.

I was just out shooting the 320 this morning, while it shoots OK, and its accurate, its not as easy shooting as my 17 or 19. And its true, the Glocks a lot more of my time, so there is that.
I switched over to Glocks from SIG's about 15 years ago and haven't regretted the decision. I sold/traded off most all of the SIG's I had, and still have a P226 and a P230, and actually traded off my old, well worn P228 for the 320. I got the gun and a bunch of mags for it, so it was a pretty good deal. The gun was used, but basically NIB, and I quickly wore more of the bluing off the barrel the first time out with it than the previous owner had while they had it. I also ended up putting a Wilson grip module on it. The factory grip just squirmed around to much in my hands to my liking. And truthfully, the Wilson ain't a whole lot better.
Shoots OK, but its nothing special. If I shot it as much as I do the Glocks, Im sure it would tighten up, but I do still prefer the Glocks, and they get a lot more of my time. I kept hearing how good the 320's were, and that they got the "holster firing" thing sorted, and I wanted to get one and see. So far, its a solid "meh".

I'd say neither.
I've shot both. But in my opinion, Sig is outrageously overrated.
What I would do is buy an LEO trade in Glock 17 or 19.
In my personal opinion Glock is vastly superior to both Sig and the PSA Dagger.
But that's just my opinion.

Personally, if one thinks SIGs are overrated, I submit they have not shot the best of the best.

I knew I'd get some poking for saying Sig is overrated...
I've shot many Sigs, including some high dollar stuff. None has ever impressed me. That's all. Just my opinion and experience.

All are police trade-ins and I will have to mod the grips on the 22 & 21 like I did on the 23. As for the 17 or 19, not interested especially considering those trade-ins typically run above my budget. Oh and the choice was between A & B, not C if you get my drift........

I get your drift.
I own the PSA Dagger. It's a shooter, but nothing to write home about. It's a working man's gun.
I don't own any Sigs, but have shot a lot of them. I personally don't like the grip angle, or height over bore. The accessories, like extra mags are a lot more expensive than the Dagger as well.
I suppose in the end it comes down to what you are going to use it for. I know you said "accumulation" as your reason for buying. If just adding one more gun to the collection is what you're after, I'd go with the Sig, it'll hold its value better than the Dagger. Plus it sounds like you're covered when it comes to Glock.

I have no experience with Sig. I do have a PSA Dagger. The only issue I've had with the Dagger was a very stiff magazine release when new. It broke in & is fine now. I like it a lot. The ergonomics of the Dagger are nice. Ironically I see many people post that they remind them of the Sig.

There's an old adage, but I don’t remember the exact words. It never actually worked for me so I abandoned the approach some time ago. Something about begging forgiveness instead of seeking permission.
Per the OP, the P320 would get my vote...but why limit yourself to one of those 2?
Finances just might be the limiting factor........

Didn't mean as in "why not both". Totally understand budget... I meant it as in why one of those specifically in the price range? Are there parameters that are only met by either the PSA or P320?
It's all budget related, right now $250 is the high end of my budget and I'm questioning even that much.

I understand that fully. At $250, I'd be on the P320 pretty quickly. There's meat on the bone if you decide it's not for you. Don't know the used market on a PSA but I'd guess it would be less than a new one.
Is the Glock in your other thread the answer to this question or unrelated?
