1blindref - where did you get the grips in that last pic? I just picked up a 2nd P6 and am looking for grips.

I'd love another set of Pachmayr's but can't find any cheap.

I traded a set of the wood Sile grips (like the ones in the last picture with the P225 and P228) for them. Numrich had the Siles. The last I checked, they only had the Euro Siles left.

Pachymayr grips for the P225s have gotten ridiculously expensive, just like the Sile grips. I think that all of the P6s that have flooded the market has dried up all of the grips that were available.

Check eBay and the classifieds on the SIGForum. Be prepared to pay anywhere from $40 - $100 for a set (I saw a set of new in the box Pachymayrs go for $100.00 plus shipping :what: :confused: )
Hell, you could get a set of Nills for about $30.00 more :scrutiny:

My new SIG P229R

I'm live in Thailand. In my country SIG P229R was very high price 2,700 USD(89,000 THB) but i love it.:)

250's with Dark Earth Frames (pix below): $575 Shipped
WOW!! Thats a great price.
(damn you Ted, I'd jump on one of those if I didn't have to put a trans in my truck :banghead: )

For anyone that doesn't know, Ted (zeroskillz) is a very reputable dealer.
He has LOTS of happy customers over on the SIGForum :)

MustangHowie-
Congrats on your two new additions!
That stamped slide P226 needs a set of the classic original plastic checkered grips.
Did you sneak into my safe and take my P239? :scrutiny: :scrutiny:

Thats crazy. I can't imagine how much an X5 or a P210 would cost :confused:
How much does ammo for your P229 cost??

Zak Smith-
Thats a good looking P6. It's got just the right amount of character.
Is that a tactical sweater you took the picture on :scrutiny:

Hello 1BLINDREF
P210 price about 6,250 USD :mad:
For ammo. Win FMJ 62 USD
Fed. Hydra 3 USD/round
:(

Sorry for my bad English.:banghead:

Here's a picture of my P228 and P226ST (9MM) all dressed up:

IMG_1189.jpg

The P226ST was shipped off to Grayguns for some custom work, which of course is mostly internal (CRRAP trigger work), but you can see what their 'Intermediate Trigger' looks like. This starts out as a normal trigger, and they modify it to end up being in between the normal and short trigger. I like it much better than the short trigger I had installed in it.

I was challenged with a 9mm shoot out on any distance for $1000.00, should I take him up on this wager?

1blindref;
The 226 came with the classic grips, I changed them to match my 226 40/357. Besides I have a new in box P226 JJ with the classics and wanted it to look different than that one. I have 2 239s so I had to put the finger grooves on one so the look different. If I was in your safe you would be missing more than just the 239.:neener:

I have 5 226 9mms and they all look different.

D-Man;
Nice pair you got there.

Samuel Adams;
Lucky man with a good wife. Love those Pros. I still need to get a 2022.

A P226 will cost around 1600€ here in Germany, I couldnt take it back to UK with me so no point in buying one, I'm currently doing the Sig Armourers course tho, and get to fire one on Friday night, with the option to fire weekly now on the table (plus the Army just bought 5000 of them, so chances are I'll have one for my next trip to the sand)

OK, new P229R came in today. I immediately disassembled, cleaned, lubed, checked and reassembled it and proceeded into the range at the store I bought it from. 100rds 9mm WWB 115g FMJ's and 10rds of 147g Hydrashocks downrange and...................

I really could get used to this. :D

I can't believe just how well my new Sig shoots, how easy it is to get good groups without trying. If (when) the trigger improves with use, I'll be one happy camper.

The fat grip of this pistol, with it's respectable heft, and the 9mm chambering, makes recoil almost un-noticable. Rapid fire controllability is well above par.

I can't wait 'till tomorrow, I gotta shoot it some more.;)

Yup, I think I done good. :)
