I know this should be simple but today is not my day. Ive had marlin for a while now and ive only used the iron sights on it for plinking (i bought it for plinking only). i have plenty of bolt 22s scoped for hunting. but today i was walking through the local walmart and seen a little tasco red dot sight. i normally stay away from tasco but i figured id give it a shot. i figured id have the extra rails and stuff at the house as i normally do. but i forgot the 60 was dove tailed.. so back to my question. is the only way im going to get this on there, to drill it and put a weaver on it? or is there something else i can do to get it on there?

sorry for the long boring story i just needed to rant.

The Marlin M60 has a groved reciever. Buy some rings for a groved reciever that fit the model 60.

Both of my model 60's have glass on them, and it didn't require any drilling or other custom rigging to mount those scopes.

gamestalker: sounds good. dunno why i didn't think of that. :D . thanks for the advice. i will hopefully have it together tonight

Again, Gamestalker has the right advice. I put a BSA sweet 22 on mine but it has the claw type mount, lack of better words but it fits on the grooved receiver as said before. No drilling required.
