I`m a big fan of the Ruger Bisley grip shape for it`s feel. However I also like the look of the Dragoon style Colts and Super Blackhawk. The solution seemed obvious enough. I reprofiled the rear of the grip frame on my Super Blackhawk to resemble a cross between Gary Reeder`s Gunfighter grip conversion and a factory Ruger Bisley. For the time being the Pachmayer grip also payed a visit to the ol belt grinder for some reshaping and removal of the strip that covers the backstrap. After sanding,smoothing and buffing the backstrap the finish looks factory again. The grip obviously dosn`t look that great but I have new rosewood grips on order. The grip feels totally different,much more bisley-esque. Which IMO is great! I can`t wait to shoot some hot loads in it with the new grip shape. Once I get the new grips reshaped and mounted I`ll have to take a few pics and post em. Marcus
