Single shot .357 mag rifles...

I'll toss in another Contender vote. Particularly in light of 'experimenting with reloading'. Very strong gun (check loading manuals for 'Contender only' data...), versatile, and potentially extremely accurate. Big plus, IMHO, is slower, possibly more thoughtful shooting - I have a great range trip with 20-30 rounds of anything I have a barrel for. YMMV, of course.

I am pretty sure that Rossi makes them in .357, .44 magnum and .45 Colt and possibly in .41 magnum. I had a model 94' lever action Rossi in .357 magnum that was a tack driver. I gave it to my grandson, in Indiana, to hunt deer, when they made it legal to use............Robin ;)

Rossi discontinued their single shots but they do make lever actions.

The only new single shot break action .357 I know of is the Contender. CVA does have a 44 Mag in their new lineup of single shot centerfire rifles.
