I may make an offer on this piece, any suggestions. Ser# indicates made in 62, as you can see it's very clean and a good shooter too.

Thanks,
Shim

Does it come with the box? Papers? .22 magnum cylinder? Would affect what it's worth.

Have you tried checking Gunbroker to see what people are asking for something similar?

The prices vary it seems. I saw some new versions for 3 bills this last weekend up 5. The 3 screw like this one seemed to have been in the 4 bill range.

Like mentioned above, box, mag cylinder, is it a refinish?

I bought a 5 screw flat top just like that, in about the same shape with no box or paperwork, with the 22mag conversion cylinder, for $375. I think I overpaid by about $50 or so, since it has been converted to the transfer bar and didn't have the original parts included. This was about 2 years ago, I wouldn't expect to pay more today.

If it's as nice as it appears to be and has not been converted, I'd say $350-$400. With both cylinders and the box, I might go as high as $450 because I end up retrofitting them with the XR3 grip frame anyway. So any sixgun early enough to come with it is worth another hundred bucks to me right off the bat.

Thanks for all the replies, it confirms sort of what I had in mind. It appears to be an original finish with very slight wear in the bluing at the muzzle. No box or extra cylinder. It is not converted as well. I don't know enough about these to know if it should have had the magnum cylinder. I've made an offer, I'll let ya'll know if I get a bite.

Thanks again
