i have a triangle 26 sks with paratrooper barrel. i havent shot this rifle in a year or so i remember it being pretty accurate out to 100 yrds with rear sights set on 1 ... now last time i went out i was way way low :banghead: i set rear sights to 10 and was still low. i then lowered front sight allmost all the way down and now i hit my mark but that is setting for 1000m  so i cant figure out what is going on. everything looks fine with barrel ? sights seem solid (allthough ive never seen these on another sks) i have a flash hider that maybe it is nicking and sending the round low? dont see any marks on it that i can tell... any one have any ideas? can anyone tell me about the rear sights and flash hider like what they are to?
thanks

Put a .30 cleaning rod in the barrel and look to see if the rod is centered in the flash hider. Or remove the flash hider and see if the point of impact changes

need to find the correct tool to remove the FH i dont want to mar it up but i will try the cleaning rods right now . just cant figure how it could change so drasticly

need to find the correct tool to remove the FH i dont want to mar it up. any one know what tool i need to remove it??

Remove the flash hider and sell it.
Take the SKS to the range and get it back to where it was. They work best with NO "improvements".

FWIW, I have had several each of Russian, Yugo and Chinese SKS's and I like the Chinese best as shooters...

i want too remove it just not sure how.... the guy i got it from told me it was welded on but i see no weld or way it could be... on the other hand i see no threads but i think it is threaded on.... a rag and some vise grips sound bad but might be my option unless you guys have a better idea (i hope you do)
