Man, I have been very angry in my life. There are even a few folks who you could say I have hated, heck I generally don't like people at all, but I have NEVER thought to myself, "You know what would be cool, a shooting spree."

Some people are worse than animals. Notice the ASSAULT RIFLE line. Heck as far as I am concerned any weapon you point at me is an assault weapon.

Taken from Newschannel 5 web site.

Three people have died in a shooting at a Tennessee Department of Transportation garage in Jackson, Tennessee.

Police arrested David Jordan shortly after the 11:30 a.m. shooting. Police said he will be charged with murder and attempted murder.

Jordan was accused of entering the garage Tuesday and shooting his estranged wife, TDOT employee Donna R. Jordan, to death.

Officers said deliveryman David Gordon and Jerry Hopper, a Tennessee Forestry Department employee, were also shot and killed.

Jackson-Madison County General Hospital spokeswoman Judy Plumb said one person died at the scene and two have died at the hospital.

Two other TDOT employees were shot and received serious injuries. They were Larry Taylor, 54 and James Goff, 53. They were both members of the garage crew.

Plumb also said one of the victims was listed in guarded condition and the other was stable.

Jordan was arrested soon after the shooting near the garage.

Two officers captured the suspect and found an assault rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun and two pistols in the man's red Mazda truck.

Donna Jordan worked as a clerk for the TDOT Region Four garage staff for five years, TDOT officials said. She had two children and two stepchildren.

“Her coworkers say she was a pleasure to work with and she will be missed. We are so sorry for her family and for the families of the other victims,†TDOT commissioner Gerald Nicely said at a news conference held Tuesday afternoon.

Jerry Hopper, a 28-year veteran of the Forestry Division of the Tennessee Department of Agriculture from Enville, was at the garage getting work done on his state-issued vehicle.

David Gordon was a delivery man for HCI Delivery Services. He had stopped outside of the garage to drop off a package.

TDOT set up a hotline for people with questions about the victims. It's 731-421-5017.

Whats with all the SKS

Shootings latley? This, the Wisconsin hunters, the Marine vs. Cops. It must be an evil gun  People buy an SKS and look what happens :uhoh:

Anyone want to take bets that said .gov owned garage was a Victim Disarmament Zone (TM)?

Given the fact that he also had a shotgun and two pistols, I fail to see how the fact that he had an SKS makes a whit of difference.

Hmm... I've had my SKS for a couple of months now and haven't even fired it, much less thought about any 'sprees'.

There are 4 SKSs in my household.

The most dangerous thing any of them has done is pop me in the face with the recoil spring when I got careless.

wow they should ban thoses guns. Looks like, sounds like, and has the same round as, it must be an AK. If you dislike the popular media's description, you should go down there and protest . Tell them they are wrong and the SKS is fundamentally different in a 127 ways when campaired to the AK. But it looks like one those bad ______ people fire in the air.

This showed up in my local paper as an AP wire story.

The SKS was described as (1) a semi-automatic rifle

The SKS was described as (2) a cheap chinese version of the AK47

I was so shocked by not seeing ASSAULT WEAPON, I dropped the
newspaper...

/Peet

(Cheap may actually have been "inexpensive" I don't remember.)
