SKS woes

Ok stupid problem, the safety on my SKS is busted.

It moves to fire just fine, its going the other way thats the issue.
While on fire however, it refuses to safety! I can slip it in when the hammer is down and I'm releasing the trigger but this isnt cool. I wanna take this thing shooting tomarrow so a quick fix would be MOST appreciated.

Me dropping it, yeilded the explaination. The safety lever was bent to the left, so it was hitting the trigger. It bent itself back into place. Go me!
