Sling for Ruger 10/22

My local gun club has a fairly casual monthly CWP match where most shoot Ruger 10/22 or similar rifles. I recently picked up a Ruger 10/22 myself and need an appropriate sling. I was looking at the Turner Saddlery AWS sling, but am unsure if it would be a good match for the fairly light Ruger, and am also unsure about the correct length of sling to purchase, since the AWS is offered in both 50" and 54" lengths. The longer length is recommended for those who are unsure, but I'd guess the Ruger 10/22 may require a shorter sling because of its size.

Does anyone have any experience with this sling, and an opinion on whether or not it would work well with the Ruger 10/22, and what the best length would be?
