I love shooting my milsurp rifles. I don't love how they turn my shoulder black and blue, at least from the bench or the prone. So I want to get a slip-on buttpad or two to lessen the pounding. I'm just not sure what size(s) I may need.

I have the following rifle types:

Mauser (Yugo M24/47 & M48A, Czech made Israeli)

Finnish Mosin M39

Swiss K-31

Anyone out there use buttpads on these rifles? Thanks.

Ive been using a medium sized limbsaver slip on pad, and it tames the recoil on all my milsurps or sentimental guns that I dont wish to add a permanant pad to the gun.

Another alternative is one of the PAST recoil pads that you can strap on over your shirt, jacket, etc. I have a similar one from Browning and it helps, without adding extra length to your rifle.
