New one in me, but it's been a long time since I've been on the boards.

One primer didn't want to seat. Upon pulling the case off the press I noticed the Sellier&Belloit case had a small primer pocket. Apparently 45ACP isn't the only one with large and small primer pockets.

I load a lot of S&B brass, and they do have tight primer pockets, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. If you lightly chamfer the primer pocket mouth, they will go in easier. It also depends on what brand of primer you're using. I load with mostly Federal primers, but S&B and MagTech will also seat more easily in tight primer pockets, with CCI being the hardest to seat in my experience.

Hope this helps.

Pleeeeese, don't tell me there are more big bores going the way of the SPP!!! I have noticed S&B brass is always a tighter fit.

Exactly what I did. Thank you for the advice.

Doesn't appear to be. I went a little "post happy" before fully Investigating.

You're welcome. There is another traditionally large primered case that is occasionally showing up with small pistol primers in them, and that's Federal's NT 10mm. I've got about a thousand of them with small primer pockets and I've been converting them to 9x25 Dillon cases.

Hope this helps.
