Hello, having a problem with using Winchester small pistol primers in my Dillon 550. For some reason they don't feed properly thru the primer pickup cup. I have been trying some CCI primers and am not having a problem with those. These are both small pistol primers in which i am reloading 9mm at the current moment.

Anyone else had this problem? I would just like to continue using winchester when I can get them since they run around $10.00 cheaper at the store in which I shop. I don't buy online because I don't want to pay for hazmat fees. So I can either get CCI or Federal match where i shop.

I have used the Winchester small primers many times with no problem at all on my 550.
Make sure their is no powder or metal shavings around the primer cup. I find thats where the problem might be when I am encountering difficulties.

Yup +1

Same no problem with WSP primers on my 550 unless debris gets in the area. Clean it up and it will be ok. I have used both CCI and Winchester, but only Winchester for a couple years now.

I have this can of "Sailboat Fuel" canned air that I blow out the shell plate and primer area so that it doesn't accumulate.
