Reading and learning about them here.

No box or papers, but it's pristine with hardly a faint turn line.

Two sets of S&W stocks and 6 moon clips.

Serial #N846160

I'm all ears for advice, gentlemen.

thnx

I'd hate to tell you yes, as I have never sold a gun for as much as it should have been worth.

But those older S&W's are never going to start getting cheaper I betcha.

The 25-2 is a great revolver and the price is good in my opionion.

I bought two of them this past year, guns only for right at $800 otd. I'm shooting the snot out of them. I've gone to auto rim cases for range shooting to avoid the mooning and demooning, even though I have very efficient tools. Both are super accurate. I have a theory, I buy guns to shoot, that entertains me. Later I or someone else will sell the guns if they are not entertaining. I will have shot at least five times the cost of the gun in ammo, maybe 50 times the cost of the gun. There will be some value in dollars for the gun when sold. I will have taken the cost out in fun.

The 25-2 is a fine target revolver. If you like revovlers and the 45 ACP cartridge, grab it. If you are looking for a quaranteed investment, try Vegas. I like my 25-2, it shoots everything well and some loads very well.

Yep, I have one, and after a trip back to Smith to correct a cylinder bind issue, it has proven to be a superbly accurate revolver.

I had to tinker with loads to find decent accuracy though. My gun favors lighter loads. Full power stuff just doesn't shoot as well. 5 grains of HP38 under a 200 grain lead bullet, or 3.8 grains of Clays, and you've got a ragged hole. Push them any harder and things open up.

Fine by me, saves powder!
