Anyone know in what year Smith switched to Novak sights on the 6906?

I don't know exactly, but would like to point out those are actually Novak sights, and should have a three-dot pattern.

TLH, thanks, I've had about three hours sleep in the last 48 hours. Thinking one thing, typing another.

My older (purchased in 1989) Model 6906 with the squared off trigger guard has the non-Novak rear sight as pictured by Jack19. As an aside, this pistol has been wonderfully reliable and a constant companion (it's the one I carried on duty for over a decade) but I've never liked the looks of the trigger guard.
