Does anyone have any experience with these, good or bad. I'm considering one in .45
Welcome!Long time lurker, but just realized this is my first post. Hi everyone.
You'll notice that a certain fan base of a particular manufacturer tends to howl whenever the M&P is mentioned. I think the M&P is a big threat to their favorite gun company and they don't like it. The M&P is going to knock a lot of guns out of the running for top gun.
The M&P9c is pretty much everything the Glock 26 wanted to be.
Which really means nothing. Less is not always more2. The Glock has no less than 14 fewer parts to launch a bullet.
The Glock can be completely disassembled and repaired in the field with a toothpick.
4. The Glock has over 20 years of well documented and extremely reliable service.
1. It's called a Military & Police model so it has to be good right?
2. It's a virtual copy of the Glock trigger group with a whole bunch of extra parts to make it California compliant and steer clear of completely ripping Glock off.
3. It has a wonderful take-down tool built into the back-strap. Never mind the fact it can only be used to remove one of three pins holding the the gun together and you still need a rock to pound out the two remaining roll pins.
4. After removing said roll pins, watch out when removing the fire control parts because there a few little ones that are going to disappear... poof. Did I forget to mention you have to pound out the rear sight to completely disassemble the slide?
5. 2 extra rounds, great. If you couldn't get the job done with the first ten, are two more going to make the difference?
6. Doesn't the grip feel sexy? Sure it is an improvement on the Glock ergonomics but we are not comparing silk boxers to cotton briefs.
7. It's a safer pistol. You don't have to squeeze the trigger to remove the slide. Don't forget all of the cops who AD'd into their wall lockers when disassembling their Glock for a good cleaning. All guns are always loaded, right?
It is a good pistol. Just not good enough to knock Glock off of its very high pedestal...
Well jeez. Looks like mtgale doesn't like it when you pee in the Kool-Aid.
Edit to add: Only teasing. not picking a fight.
