Snag-Free Pistols: “Girly Man”, “He-Man”, or "Spin Doctors" working!

I carry a pistol IWB 24/7/365 and have done so for several years, so anything the manufacturer can do to make it more comfortable and easier to draw the better.

I could care less if it makes it look "feminine"

+1 Concealed means concealed, so who knows what you're carrying anyway?

I would say matching gun accessories is more "Girly Man" than a snag free pistol Although that is p-i-m-p!

ROTFLMAO :D

Yeah, it's really girly to want a gun that won't hurt to carry, and won't tear holes in your hands and clothing.

I'm so-o-o-o-o-o glad that as a woman, I don't have to get blisters and open sores during a 1000+ round weekend, simply in order to prove that my peepee isn't undersized.

Huh?

:scrutiny: :scrutiny: :scrutiny: :scrutiny:

Of course, I can only speak for myself...However, TOWMBO has indicated to me that no amount of "cool finish", tactical "de-horning", or custom melt job in ANY WAY gets me a pass on the long standing restriction of no guns in the sack. Something about always being in the way at all the wrong times...:p :p :p

Of course, YMMV and all that...

I think the replies have been insightful and humorous at times, especially when targeting the “girly man” or feminine references. But, the point I was trying to make is that when mfgr’s are trying to win over customers in the lighter, slimmer, smaller CCW market: what else can they do in this miniaturization without the “laws of diminishing reliability” come into play? Right now, snag-free is in….Trim, streamline all the edges….I have no problem with that.
However & as an example, I predict when enough of the Kahr P45’s are sold you’ll find an increase of complaints, especially from handloaders, of FTE because of their reduced size ejection port…. There is an inverse relationship between smaller and high standards of reliability vs tight tolerances and quality control. I, for one, will not be manipulated by the “merchants of propaganda/advertising” industry.:fire:

I like to wear nice clothes. I don't want the choice I made - to be constantly armed - destroying them.

Nor do I want my hands torn up when I practice.

There was a time when the only choices we had on 1911's were tiny GI sights, or big ol' target sights. Then folks started customizing them with S&W sights. Although "de-horned" and non-snag today means something different, there was a time when if one wanted good sights, there were few options. And most of them snagged everything on the way from the holster to full extension. We may have come a long way from then, but choice, innovation, and standard upgrades are a good thing.

I certainly welcome standard AC in my car, too.

Anyone here ever dehorn their Glock? No? Ohhh... That's right they don't need it since there are no horns to de.

The ejection port on the side of a Glock slide is a nasty snag. The ejection port is flush on top, but the side (the more important area when drawing your weapon) is very "hook-like." There are other designs that actually taper this area.
