Shooting Amish Bill's extra-ugly AR.

I shot Bill's Remington 700PSS and AR10T today. Shooting one-hole groups at 50m and one inchers at 100m was easy...so long as I shot off a bipod. Both guns were too front-heavy for me to fire without fatigue.
Conclusions: good triggers, good ammo matter. Good scopes matter even more. The shooter in all cases was the same (Oleg) and couldn't do even fractionally as well with an iron-sighted AR15. I think that a 16" HBAR in .223 with a 3.5x ACOG is in the future, because optics not only made it easier to hit a target, they made it possible to know if the target was a shoot/no-snoot.

Hahah, I don't know how you're supposed to have a gun like that in your hand and not have a huge grin on your face... ;)

1>Didn't Amish Bill used to have a beard?

2>Didn't he once live in GA?

LOL. Why at first did I think you were talking about me? :)

I wish I'd have gotten to meet you all. Maybe I'll make it down again sometime.

Stock is for a little seen variant of the M16 that's specifically designed as a firing port weapon on a tracked vehicle. IIRC, this same variant lacks a front sight post, so the stock is only as a last-resort type deal anyway. That M16 variant is full auto only.
