We've already had three innocent people shot by Redondo and/or Torrance PD today, just 'cuz they were driving by an LAPD officer's home, who is on this guy's 'hit list'. And he's already shot 3 other police in Riverside this morning, killing one of them----as well as tying up an old guy in San Diego whilst trying to steal his boat. PLUS, he's the one who murdered the young couple in their car last Sunday in Irvine. Crap crap crap, this is NOT gonna end well.....:(

No kidding, I was just reading it on CNN. I hope they catch him soon, this is really bad. Just imagine arriving on scene to see uniformed officers shooting at each other.....

And hence the reason I say owning arms should not just be a right to those in the LEO or military. No offense to anyone in those communities, but anybody can go off the deep end and do crazy things. So, to use that reasoning to take it away from the law abiding citizens seems ludicrous to me since LEO and military personnel can have the same downfalls as the rest of us. Anyone can go crazy. You cannot stop crazy from happening through legislation and this proves, to me at least, that you cannot just trust the military and LEO with guns no more than you can trust anyone else to own them. Its a risk we take to live in a free society.
 
Ok...warning sent to any SOCal folks to keep their eyes open and heads down.

Otherwise this really isn't topical for THR.
