So has the election compelled you to buy anything?

:scrutiny:

I fear the worst. There are so many things I want but thankfully I have everything I need but "want" is still a hard thing to fight in the face of what may be coming our way. I decided that fiscal prudence and common sense should be abandoned in the face of that possibility so I bought the following items to fill in what I already have.

DPMS AP4 carbine
Romanian AK 7.62 x 39
Romanian PSL 7.62 x 54R
Beretta 92 FS with three hi-cap mags

7- 5.56 AR mags
2- Browning HP mags
2- CZ-75 mags
4- 92 FS mags
5- PSL mags
4- 10-22 steel-lips mags
10- 30-round AK mags

It adds up to over 3 thousand I wouldn't have spent right now. I guess you can call this just another version of the government sponsored economic stimulus plan. :D

And there is still time left to get at least one more 75 round AK drum...

The good part about the economic mess/election hysteria is you can use the worry of it to convince the wife that wasting money on garbage decorations for halloween, thanksgiving, christmas and candle history month, needs to be curtailed. Not to mention gifts for each family member, neighbor and on and on :barf::rolleyes:

Both candidates don't like civillians having semi auto military style rifles so another AK seems appropriate.

It's the best reason that's going to come along in at least four years...

Frankly, I'm ecstatic about the PSL I laid-away. Every-time I walked in the gun-shop, my eyes always went over to that rifle which I then gazed at with a deep, longing desire.

Thanks McCain, Thanks Obama!

And BTW, my Credit Card says Thanks as well!

Are you open to switching that to a FAL? More mag capacity.

Thought about the FAL, believe me I did but that's going to fall in the category of one I couldn't have. And there a a lot of them. :(

I'm not really worried about mag capacity with this rifle. I got that covered with the AK's and AR's...

IBTL

i gotta tec-9 because of the election scare

I was thinking about a Mac-9 just because I have a 9mm AR that uses the same Sten mags but that thing is a complete waste without a stock. :(

You "can't" have a FAL? Why? Many of them are close to the same price as a PSL.

Well, you have to have a MAC, come on. Here's ones with stocks for Dianne Feinstein's enjoyment :evil:http://masterpiecearms.com/products.php?cat=10&PHPSESSID=8752add6fd78909e02a79c85d67096a2

I didn't buy anything that I wouldn't have bought any way I just picked it up a little sooner than planned.

And I'm stocking up on ammunition and magazines for guns I already have as opposed to buying new guns.

and the fact that all but 2 of my guns are off paper

More high cap mags for me as well as another revolver. Like to see 'em limit that capacity. :neener: I'm going to pick up some more 30 rd AR mags, powder and primers to make sure. Those of you think the Dems (specifically Obama) will not try to limit gun ownership in his first term are delusional. :cuss: This joker will reinstate the AWB and try to get one without a sunset. Socialism is on the way, arm yourself the best you can. [I hope this is not too political for the mods]

We don't need another AWB to cause prices to go ballistic. The hysteria surrounding what candidate X will do the minute he gets into office is enough to cause that.

I bought most of my collection because of the election. I've only been seriously interested in RKBA issues since the beginning of the year, so I had some catching up to do. :p

I now have a good assortment of rifles, magazines and ammo although I still have a few things I'd like to get in the near future. For the most part, I'm content.

"Carry on!"

I never got rid of anything I'd accumulated for the Y2K fiasco. On top of all that, I've bought several more firearms, off-paper, and have one nice little derringer to throw away to the gendarmerie if they start collections based on licenses. All told, I have three times the MRE count and weapon count and rounds count that I had in 1999. BTW, in his state they issue "licenses", not "permits", and NOT CCW ( Carry Concealed.) Our "permission" is via God and His Laws as enumerated in our Constitution. I think I have what might be termed "an arsenal", if one include powder, primers, brass, etc. But it's not illegal. I only shoot in 3 calibres, .45, 9x19, and .50AE, and reload in all of those. I think it's a good idea to have some .38, 22, .380, etc. for bartering purposes, in addition to the old standby made by Kimberly-Clark !!

I think if Obama wins prices on possible AWB items will skyrocket, whether or not an actual AWB comes in the next 4 years.

I put an AR on layaway and will have it paid for in December.

Need 10+ mags before Nov 4!

Aspirin and a vomit plastic bag.

Aspirin and a vomit plastic bag.

Back to the original intent of your question...

I buy and sell guns that I would have bought/sold anyway.

I and/or we stock up as usual on ammunition and 'reloading stuff' for him.

I stock up on sales, buy in bulk, buy because of price increases, buy because of the devaluation of the U.S. dollar and he does 'his thing' when it comes to his guns and ammunition. I do THIS when it comes to other products too!

I am VERY concerned about the 'election' when it comes to BOTH of the front runners. I am VERY concerned about the economy and super inflation and I have been that way LONG before it hit the main stream news and some 'sheep' woke up and took notice about $$$, bail outs, SELL outs, job losses, deficits, budgets, etc. :banghead:

I personally think that IT will hit the fan and it will not only be in ANTI GUN issues.

Keep your powder dry!

Catherine
End the FED!

maybe you fear the worst because you haven't done enough to ensure the worst won't happen? <cough> the ELECTION HASN'T HAPPENED YET!
