So How Do YOU Clean Your Scope Lenses?

3 Rules :

1.) NEVER clean with a fabric 1st :what: - You'll scratch the lens or coating.
2.) ALWAYS blow off dust 1st.
3.) Use a soft lens brush AFTER blowing off the lens.
4.) Use a specially-made lens-cleaning cloth/wipe (Sold everywhere!)
a.) Be gentle
b.) Use circular motions only.

Most average to high quality scopes come with everything that you need INCUDING instructions so there's no excuse for scratching your lenses.

I use a make-up "blush" brush to remove surface dust, I fog with breath & wipe down with a microfiber cloth. Most importantly, I don't do it often. I don't use lens protectors, but I do have 4" shades on my most expensive scopes & that keeps most stuff away from the objective.

If it gets bad enough I just bead blast it :neener:

I usually use the breath and a soft cloth method but plan on getting a lens pen because of this thread.
