No problem Doc. Most fun we had all day!
I have one of these in the PG of one of my AR's:

You guys are not getting off that easy. What kind of air?
Ocean, mountain, desert, great plains, country with pollen, urban with smog? If mountain air what mountain and at what elevation? Or maybe restaurant air with the smell of bbq?
Just apply a thin layer of RTV- will act like a waterproof, easily removable glue to hold the plug in.Currently I keep a hole there. Unfortunately not one of the Tex Avery portable and reusable ones.
I have standard A2 grips and am considering one of the rubber stopper type plugs. I am sorta leaning to carrying the three most loos-ables ( based on my service experience) the firing pin retaining pin, extractor pin and extractor spring and mayhaps a keychain SAK, just because.
I am getting wildly differing opinions on the rubber plugs for standard A2 grips. I wonder if roughing up the inside of the hole with say 150 grit sand paper run side t side and never up and down to make a begillion micro grooves might encourage the plug to stay in better.

Now that you mention it, the bolt idea is a good one. Think I'll swap my extra ammo for this....thanks!It differs on the rifle and whether it has an optic that needs batteries or not, but for me it goes...
1. Cleaning kit in A2 buttstock
2. Air
3. Batteries
4. Spare bolt
-I thought Ringo Starr inherited Tex Avery's portable holes.Currently I keep a hole there. Unfortunately not one of the Tex Avery portable and reusable ones.

A Cyanide capsule. Just in case.
